Profile
Kathryn's PhD research topic is 'Deliberation in differing political environments'. Kathryn will be examining deliberation for decision making in differing political contexts including parliament, a conflict resolution process, referenda processes and possibly a traditional indigenous context. The study will look at deliberation per se, using the Discourse Quality Index developed by Steenbergen et al as a framework for assessing deliberation, as well as looking at the characteristics of the varying deliberative processes.
